D.I.Y. Basic Cuticle Cream

Cuticle Cream DIY
A D.I.Y. recipe for a nourishing cuticle cream!
Ingredients:
  • 1 tbsp. fuller’s earth (natural clay substance)
  • 1 tsp. olive oil
  • 4 drops lavender essential oil

Directions:

  • Combine all ingredients; mix well
  • Apply to cuticles

Relaxing Foot Soak for Callused Feet

Give tired and callused feet a break with this relaxing and softening foot soak!

 

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup baking soda (for each gallon of water you use)
  • Water

 

Directions:

  • Add 1/2 cup of baking soda to each gallon of water you use (1 gallon water = 1/2 cup baking soda); mix well
  • Let feet soak in water mixture for 30 minutes
  • Rinse with water
  • Follow up with lotion

Vegetable Oil Nail Strengthener Recipe

Save yourself some money and a trip to the nail salon with this easy to make at home nail strengthener that strengthens nails and also softens cuticles!

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp. castor oil
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. wheat germ oil

 

Directions:

  • Pour all ingredients into a sealable bottle
  • Shake very well (shake before each use)
  • Apply and rub a small amount of mixture onto your nails using your finger (or use an eye dropper to apply)
  • Leave on for 3-5 minutes
  • Wipe off using a cotton pad or tissue

*Makes 20-30 applications (a little of this stuff goes a long way)

Honey and Almond Foot Scrub

Get soft and smooth feet with this nourishing foot scrub!

 

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp. olive oil
  • 11 almonds
  • Juice from 1/4 lemon

 

Directions:

  • Grind almonds into a fine meal (use a blender or a food processor)
  • Mix almonds and all remaining ingredients together
  • Apply to feet and massage
  • Rinse with water and pat dry

Strawberry Foot Scrub

Buff away cracked and dry feet with this delicious foot scrub that you can easily make at home with very few ingredients!

Ingredients:

  • 8-10 ripe strawberries
  • 2 tbsp. apricot or olive oil
  • 1 tsp. coarse salt (kosher or sea salt are best)

Directions:

  • Mash strawberries (you can use the end of a fork to mash them up)
  • Combine remaining ingredients with mashed strawberries; mix into a creamy paste
  • Apply to feet and massage
  • Rinse with water and pat dry
