Raspberry, Honey and Oat Facial Mask

This delicious facial mask will do wonders for your skin with just 3 simple ingredients!  The raspberries (which are bursting with Vitamin C) work to fight signs of aging (wrinkles and fine lines) as well as maintaining skins natural glow.  The honey (which is packed with antioxidants) works to moisturize skin while fighting off germs that can lead to acne.  Lastly (but not least), the oats do the job of soaking up any impurities that may have been clogging up your pores.

So, if you have 15 to 20 minutes and these 3 ingredients you have time to treat your face to this healing facial mask!

What you need:

  • 14 ripe red raspberries
  • 1/4 c. honey
  • 1/4 c. rolled oats

What you do:

  • Place the raspberries in a bowl and mash them with a fork until they form a liquid pulp-like consistency
  • Add the remaining ingredients to the mashed raspberries and mix until all ingredients are blended and you have a paste like consistency (if your mixture is too runny/wet add more oats and if your mixture is too dry add more honey)
  • Apply the mixture to a clean face and let it sit for 10 minutes
  • Rinse the mixture off with warm water and follow up with a moisturizer

Gentle Herbal Facial Cleanser

Herbal Cleanser

Gently cleanse skin with this herbal facial cleanser!

 

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup dried chamomile
  • 1/3 cup dried rose petals
  • 2/3 oat flour
  • water

 

Directions:

  • Combine dried chamomile and rose petals and grind until fine
  • Combine oat flour with grinded mix; mix well
  • Add a tablespoon of water to the mixture at a time; stirring after each tablespoon is added until a creamy paste forms
  • Place the mixture in a saucepan over low heat for 5 minutes (this will create a creamier consistency)
  • Remove from heat and let mixture cool
  • Once cooled, apply the mixture to skin (avoid the eye area)
  • Gently massage into skin
  • Rinse with warm water

Mandarin Orange and Almond Facial Scrub

Mandarin Orange Almond Facial Scrub

Treat your skin to this delicious facial scrub!

 

Ingredients:

  • 3 tsp. almond meal
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • 1/2 tsp. mandarin juice

 

Directions:

  • Combine all ingredients; mix well
  • Apply to face (avoid the eye area)
  • Gently massage mixture into skin for a couple of minutes
  • Rinse with water

Exfoliating Lemon Foot Scrub

Lemon Foot Scrub

Treat your feet to this deliciously exfoliating lemony foot scrub!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 2 tbsp. salt
  • Juice from 1/2 a lemon

Directions:

  • Blend oats in a blender or food processor until powdery
  • Transfer the blended oats into a bowl with the cornmeal and salt; mix well
  • Add the lemon to the mixture; mix well
  • Add a little bit of water to the mixture and stir until a paste forms (keep adding water until you get the mixture to a paste form)
  • Apply the mixture to feet and massage into skin
  • Rinse with water
  • Follow up with your favorite moisturizer

Pineapple Facial Scrub

Scrub your face and exfoliate skin with this tropical pineapple face scrub!

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1/4 cup cold olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley

Directions:

  • Place the pineapple in a blender; blend slightly
  • Add the olive oil to the pineapple in the blender; blend to nearly smooth
  • Add the parsley to the blender; blend (but don’t blend until it is a runny liquidy texture)
  • Apply to clean skin (avoid the eye area)
  • Let sit for 15 minutes
  • Rinse with warm water
  • Follow up with your favorite moisturizer

Lime and Honey Facial Scrub Recipe

An invigorating facial scrub cleanser for oily and combination skin types!

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup unsalted nuts (any type will do)
  • 1 tbsp. grape seed oil
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Juice from 1/2 lime

Directions:

  • Combine the oats and nuts; grind together using a food processor until they are fine/powdery
  • Add the remaining ingredients; mix well
  • (the mixture should be of a thin consistency, if not, add more milk)
  • Apply to face and neck; massage into skin
  • Rinse with water

 *Can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to a week

Granola and Apple Face Mask

Exfoliate and tone skin with this yummy apple granola face mask!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 apple (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp. oatmeal
  • 1 tbsp. buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp. oat starch

Directions:

  • Put the chopped apple in a blender and blend
  • Add the remaining ingredients to the blended apple; blend until a creamy consistency forms
  • Apply to a clean face (avoid the eye area)
  • Let sit for 10-15 minutes
  • Rinse with lukewarm water

*If stored in an airtight container in the fridge, mask mixture can last 3-5 days
