Herbal Cleanser

Gently cleanse skin with this herbal facial cleanser!

 

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup dried chamomile
  • 1/3 cup dried rose petals
  • 2/3 oat flour
  • water

 

Directions:

  • Combine dried chamomile and rose petals and grind until fine
  • Combine oat flour with grinded mix; mix well
  • Add a tablespoon of water to the mixture at a time; stirring after each tablespoon is added until a creamy paste forms
  • Place the mixture in a saucepan over low heat for 5 minutes (this will create a creamier consistency)
  • Remove from heat and let mixture cool
  • Once cooled, apply the mixture to skin (avoid the eye area)
  • Gently massage into skin
  • Rinse with warm water

Basil Blemish Gentle Facial Tonic

Basil Blemish Tonic

Calm and tone distressed skin with this gentle tonic!

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 handful fresh basil leaves

 

Directions:

  • Bring water to a boil over heat; add basil leaves
  • Let steep in water for 15 minutes
  • Carefully strain the leaves from the mixture and discard
  • Let the basil water cool
  • Apply to problem areas using a cotton ball or soft tissue

 

*Store in the fridge until water becomes cloudy/murky.  Discard at this point.

Cucumber and Parsley Facial Mask

Treat your skin to this refreshing and revitalizing facial mask!
Ingredients:
  • 1 tsp. yogurt
  • 1 tsp. cucumber
  • 1 tsp. parsley
Directions:
  • Combine all ingredients in a blender; puree until smooth
  • Apply to a clean face (avoid the eye area)
  • Let sit for 15-20 minutes
  • Rinse with water

Pineapple and Olive Oil Facial Mask

Treat your face to a refreshing facial mask!
Ingredients:
  • 4 large pineapple chunks
  • 3 tbsp. olive oil
Directions:
  • Combine the ingredients in a blend; blend until nearly smooth
  • Apply mixture to a clean face (avoid the eye area)
  • Let sit for 15 minutes
  • Rinse with warm water

Refresh and calm oily skin with this facial mask!

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp. oatmeal
  • 2 tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1/2 grapefruit
  • 2-3 drops olive oil

Directions:

  • Squeeze the juice from the grapefruit into a bowl
  • Combine the remaining ingredients with the grapefruit juice; mix well to form a paste
  • Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes in the fridge
  • Apply mixture to a clean face (avoid the eye area)
  • Let sit for 15 minutes (or until dry)
  • Rinse with warm water

Apple and Cucumber Brightening Facial Mask
Brighten dull and lifeless skin with this brightening facial mask!
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cucumber (peeled)
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. lime juice
  • 1 slice of an apple
  • 5-6 mint leaves
  • 2 drops lime essential oil
Directions:
  • Combine all ingredients (except essential oil); blend in a blender until smooth
  • Add the lime essential oil to the blended mixture; mix well
  • Put mixture in the fridge for 10-15 minutes
  • Apply the mixture to a clean face
  • Let sit for 20 minutes
  • Rinse with warm water
