Aussie Moist 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep Conditioner

abc

I’ve tried countless different conditioners while on the quest for silky, smooth and healthy hair.  Most of those conditioners that I have tried are higher end and more expensive because normally I feel like you get what you pay for.  I can honestly say that this is probably the cheapest conditioner I have ever bought yet it is by far one of my absolute favorites (if not my absolute favorite)!

This is a conditioning miracle for my hair at an extremely affordable price.  On average, an 8 oz. bottle of this is about $3.00 and a lot of times the grocery store will have 2 for $5.00 specials.  (You can’t beat those prices!)  It’s a nice creamy consistency with a pleasant and fresh scent.  You only need to leave the conditioner on your hair for 3 minutes (I usually leave it on longer though).

If you read any of my previous posts on conditioners that I’ve tried you know that I love a conditioner that actually detangles my hair in the shower, which this one does an amazing job of doing!  When I rinse this out, my hair is instantly left feeling super soft and silky and completely tangle free!  When I get out of the shower I don’t even have to spray in a detangling spray because I can brush through my hair effortlessly.  I notice after using this that my hair looks healthy, soft and shiny when it dries too.

I suggest this to anyone who needs a good moisturizing conditioner and to anyone who doesn’t want to shell out big bucks for a conditioner.  It is sold in most grocery stores, drug stores, Wal-Mart’s, etc.  (I love this too because when I travel rather than lugging a bunch of conditioner with I can just go pick up a bottle when I reach my destination since it is so affordable.)

Pros:

  • Affordable (REALLY affordable!)
  • Fresh scent
  • Moisturizes and deep conditions
  • Detangles
  • Leaves hair looking/feeling silky, shiny and healthy

Bumble and Bumble Creme de Coco Masque

ffff

I purchased this 5 oz. tube of Bumble and Bumble Crème de Coco Masque conditioner for $28.00 after it was suggested by a friend of mine.

My hair (as we know from previous posts) is color treated and faces the heat of hair straighteners and curling irons on a pretty frequent basis so I’m always all for trying any type of conditioners and/or hair treatments to help it.

This one has a very pleasant scent to it…not too strong or overpowering though.  It has a thick creamy consistency that applies nicely to my hair.

I’ve only been using this product for roughly maybe 2 weeks and I do notice that it seems to be helping my hair.  (I’ve noticed less split ends…actually nearly none!)  Now I do not wash my hair on a daily basis, usually every other day.  I was told that this product is ok to use on a regular basis so I’ve been using it roughly every other day on my hair.

It doesn’t leave any residue and doesn’t leave my hair feeling weighed down or greasy looking.  I find it’s a pretty lightweight product but I feel like almost all the shampoos/conditioners that I’ve tried from Bumble and Bumble are lightweight which is something that I really love about their line of products.  (Aside from that surf spray….)

The only downside about this product for me (aside from it being a little bit pricier than I would like) is that it does not detangle my hair….at all.  I love when a conditioner detangles my hair as well as conditions it and I love getting out of the shower and being able to brush right through it without any tangles to fight through.  Unfortunately, this isn’t the case with this one.  I have to spray a detangling spray on my hair after I get out of the shower in order for me to brush through my hair easily without tugging and pulling.

Even though I wish that this product would detangle my hair, I am still seeing benefits and improvements from using it.  (Who doesn’t want less split ends?!?!)  I’m sure when I need more conditioner I’ll give something else a try (or go back to Carol’s Daughter) and something that has more of a detangling ability for my tangle prone hair but for someone who is looking for a good moisturizing conditioner, I suggest giving this one a try.

Pros:

  • Moisturizes
  • Reduces split ends
  • Yummy scent

Cons:

  • Pricey
  • Doesn’t detangle

Carol’s Daughter Monoi Repairing Hair Mask

cccI am always all about finding really good products that condition my hair and leave it feeling and looking soft, smooth and healthy.  I was hesitant about purchasing this product only because of the price tag.  $29.00 for a tub of it that is 7 oz.  I figured it would be well worth it if it actually worked and would have been bummed if I spent $29.00 on a product that didn’t work.  So I decided to give it a try anyways.

When I first opened this tub, I was greeted by a very pleasant scent (this is always important for me when it comes to shampoos and conditioners).  The consistency was thick, as are most conditioning hair masks.  I applied it to my hair while I was showering and left it sit on there while I shaved so that it had a decent amount of time to absorb into my hair.

I can normally always tell if a conditioner works well for me when I rinse it out.  If my hair is left feeling smooth and not tangled while rinsing it out, I know I’ve found a winner!  Luckily for me, this product did just that when I rinsed it out!  My hair was left feeling silky smooth while it was still wet and didn’t feel like a tangled up mess.

Combing through my hair after I got out of the shower was also a breeze.  It did an excellent job at detangling my normally tangled hair (it always tangles in the shower)!  Any conditioner or conditioning treatment that  can detangle my hair is a winner in my book!  (And don’t ask me how I manage to tangle it either, it can be silky smooth before I get in the shower and by the time I am done washing it I have a real rat’s nest on my hands.)

I let my hair air dry (as I normally do) without adding other product to it to see the results.  I was quite pleased!  My hair looked and felt soft and silky smooth.  This is definitely a great product for damaged hair.  (Mine is color treated and always encounters the heat from either my straightener or curling iron).

Pros:

  • Moisturizing and conditioning
  • Softens hair
  • Leaves hair feeling soft, smooth and healthy
  • Great for damaged/dry hair
  • Smells delicious

Cons:

  • A little on the pricey side
